Wednesday Card Halloween part 5

Happy Wednesday!

How are things going?  OK here.  I have really been on a roll lately and I love it.  Getting work done, scrappin' in each night, and hanging with the family.  I have volunteered to watch my cousin's son afternoon after school.  He attends the same school as Jack but he is in the 2nd grade.  I was heart broken when my cousin told me that her son is being bullied after school at the after school program.  She had spoken to the teachers a couple of weeks ago but nothing really happened and now it is worse.  It just makes me sick when children can be so cruel to one another.  So I said I will watch him until she can get his old daycare to pick him up.  Bullying just makes me so angry!!

My Wednesday Card

supplies
Everything is Echo Park except the button-paper trey ink

I hope everyone has a great day! Thanks so much and have a great day!

I love your card.

I'm with you on the bullying. My son was bullied through ele entry school. No matter how many times he told the teachers nor I told the teachers nothing was done. It wasn't until the boy's 8th grade year when he broken another kid's arm with a baseball bat did they finally do something. In light of the times we live in you would think something would have been done earlier. My prayers arenwith this little one and for the teacher's wisdom.

You have such fun Halloween cards, Mary Pat! :)
And I agree about bullying.
It's sad at how early it can start.
Even when I taught preschool and kindergarten, they were starting to use the "I'm not your friend" stuff :(

Your card is adorable! I really like that toothy-grinned pumpkin.

I agree with the bullying thing. Our schools supposedly have a "No Tolerance" policy, but they don't enforce it at all. It is really sad when we can't send our children to school and know that they will be safe. Glad that you can pitch in and help.

I love the card, that pumpkin is so adorable!

I hate the bullying, its so horrible, and unfortunately, not everyone sees it as a problem. I'm so glad your cousin's son has a such a safe place to go to after school now, where he doesn't have to worry about bullies!

I am so sorry to hear about bullying...I hate it and see if often at the junior high I work at. I am always dealing with that, I just don't know why kids have to be sooo cruel! Your card is adorable! Love Echo Park!

Sorry about the bullying! At least you can help out for a while.

Isn't it fun when you feel like you've got it all together?

Such a fun card. I like all the layering with the different pattern papers.
As for bullying, I think the schools should take a tougher approach on these things. The schools here have a No Tolerance Policy. It is enforced in the public schools, not to sure about the highschools though.
So nice the little boy has a safe place to come to until his mom can get this straightened out.
