Oh it is Friday!! &Class layout

Happy Friday,
I am so excited that the weekend is here.  Are you doing anything exciting?  We only have one thing on our schedule--Jack's soccer game at 9:30 Saturday morning and then NOTHING else.  I can't believe it.  I can't remember when we have only had one thing scheduled.  We are so happy.  I plan on getting caught up with some odds & ends around the house.  I am also going to stop by Simply Scrapbooks to pick out my paper for my June class.  Don't know what I am going to use yet.  If I have some extra time I may start scrapping the layouts.

Speaking of my class.  I want to share with you one of the layouts we will be making in May's Fun with Sketches Class. The class is May 17th at 1:30.  In the class we will be making 3 layouts (2-2pagers and 1-1pager) plus a BONUS card and it is only $20.  This month's class features the Echo Park Playground paper.  I so love this line.  Here are some pictures of the boys playing in the sprinkler from last summer.  I just love these photos.

Bigfoot is in the house

Wow it is Thursday already can you believe it?  We are supposed to have today our first semi- dry day in over 2 weeks.  We have received over 12 inches of rain these past 2 weeks.  It has been terrible.  I am so looking forward to today and SUNSHINE and warm weather.  60 degrees for the high.  We are supposed to have at least 3 days of sunshine and then the rain returns.  The grass is so long but there hasn't been a day to cut it.  I keep praying our sump pump in the basement will last since it has been running non stop.

Here is the last of my Christmas layouts.  I used up my last little bit  of my Echo Park paper.  Jack wanted BigFoot for Christmas and I found a really good price online so I ended up buying the monster.  I do have to say it is pretty funny.  Michael; however, is scared to death of it.  He screams and runs into the another room when Jack plays with it.

Wednesday Card-Christmas

Happy Wednesday,

So what is new with all of you today?  Nothing really is new here.  I am still waiting of my car to be fixed.  Last week I took my car in and I guess there were some major problems.  It is a 1999 car, but it only has 70,000 miles on it.  I inherited the car from my father.  Well I guess there were some problems and hubby and I did the math and we decided to fix the problems and hope to get maybe one to two more years out of it and then put a huge down payment on the next car.  I am going to hate it when this bill comes due.  No scrappin' products for me for awhile.  (Bummer)

I am sorry for the distorted picture. I don't know what happened.  It got a little crazy when I resized it.  Oh well--So I said this week is all about Christmas and here is one of my Christmas cards that I will use.  I had tons of scraps left over from my Echo Park paper (yes, I save every little scrap).  When I have scraps left over I end up making cards out of them. I was able to make 3 with my scraps.  Pretty good start.

supplies
bazzill, echo park, making memories

Jack starts soccer this week.  He wanted to play again.  We had our team meeting and it is funny because Jack is small for his age and he is one of the tallest on the team.  Hubby and I were laughing.  They also had just a couple of drills and Jack came in second place.  Once again hubby and I were laughing.  You know I love my baby more than anything but a parent also has to look at things realistically and at this point in time Jack is not very coordinated .  So when Jack comes in second we were laughing that this team doesn't have a chance in winning.  You never know the season is just starting, but I do have to say Jack was sooo happy.  His friends that he plays with are bigger than he is and they are stronger and faster and sometimes he gets discouraged because he is always the smaller one.  I think this year of soccer will boost his spirits and maybe give him some more confidence in himself.  Let's hope!

I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back tomorrow with my very last Christmas layout of 2010.  See you all tomorrow and thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday-Just the 2 of Us

Hello,

How is your week going? So far so good for me.  I leave for work at 5:45 AM and I don't get to see the boys in the morning.  I have to say that I have been having a hard time not seeing them.  I go through this every time I have off for a couple of days.  I get so used to seeing them and being with them that when I am not I just get that working mom's guilt and I miss them so much.  I can't wait till 3:00 to hold them!!!

Just the 2 of Us

At Christmas at my In Laws, Jack got a bit overwhelmed and tired and we were opening presents.  Jack just needed to take a break and be quiet for just a bit. So among the chaos we sat together  and read a book.  I so love it when he crawls up on my lap to talk or read or just getting some loving.  Nothing makes me happier than when I am holding one of my boys.  Plus I have to say the first picture of me is pretty good.  hehehehehe

Happy Monday-First Presents

Well another week is starting.  Did everyone have a good weekend?  We sure did.  On Saturday hubby took the boys up to his mom's house.  His sister was in town & they were gone all morning.  I was able to go to the grocery, prepare 2 dishes for Easter brunch, and bake a cake.  I was able to self indulgent and watch my 2 show that I watch in secret--Do you want to know what they are?  SHHHHH don't tell anyone because these shows are so bad and horrible but they are like a train wreck -you just have to watch--Bethany Ever After and The Real Housewives of New York.  I don't watch all the other housewives shows, but I love these two.  I got to watch 3 episodes.  Totally in heaven.   What are your secret favorite shows?

Easter Sunday we had a wonderful time.  The boys had so much fun finding their baskets.  It was Lego heaven here at the house.  My mom came over and again Lego heaven for the boys.  It was just wonderful.  We had a wonderful  brunch and then the rest of the weekend we just relaxed as it rained once again!!!

One of my goals for my Spring break was to finish up some of my odds n ends pictures.  I finally finished up the Fall and I finished up Christmas.  HOORAY! I am so ready to move on with my pictures.  I want to move on to Winter and then Spring.

First Presents

I just love these pictures of the boys on Christmas Eve.  They were both so cute and excited.  For the layout I used my Echo Park. I so love their paper.

Friday Catch Up

Well we made it through another week.  Instead of being happy about this I am sad because my spring break is over.  I did accomplish a bunch but not as much as I would have liked to but still overall I am pleased with the work that I got done.

Several weeks ago Pam over at Observations of an Ordinary Life sent me a beautiful thank you card.  Pam won my Michael's giveaway and she sent me this great card.  I love happy mail and this just made me so happy! Thanks back at you Pam!

Well one of the things that I have been doing is going through my stash (yet again).  My lss is having their big garage sale and I am going to put some stuff in it to sell, and I found these two things and thought I would have just a quick little GIVEAWAY today.   It is just something little, but I want to say thanks to all of you who make my day! I thank you all for taking the time to write such wonderful comments.  It really means a bunch to me.  SO for a quick little GIVEAWAY I have a Basic Grey bling lady bug sticker and Close to My Heart little stamp set.  Both have never been used before.  The Little stamp set is of flowers and a butterfly.  They are way too cute!

To win this little prize all you have to do is:
1.  follow my blog
2.  leave a comment by midnight tonight

I will announce the winner on Saturday! I will use random.org !  So let's get to it!

Have a great weekend and I will be back on Monday with a week of new layouts.  I finished my goal and I finally finished Christmas.  So next week will be a week of Christmas!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thursday-Michael & Leaves

Hello,
I am so excited about today.  My mom is taking the day off work to come over so that we can play.  The kids are going to school and so it will be just the two of us.  We are heading down to Cincinnati to do some shopping and then we are meeting hubby at The Montgomery Inn for lunch.  This restaurant is famous for their BBQ.  I do not like BBQ but I love their Fried Shrimp.  MMMMM I can't wait.  Then Mom and I will head back home and then she likes to nap and I will scrap.  Then I am sure we will run some errands.  Mom wants to pick up some puzzles for Jack for Easter.  He is SO into puzzles right now.  Then we will pick up the kiddies.  Oh I can't wait!  I love hanging out with my Mom.  As I have said many times she is my best friend, my inspiration and just everything to me!!!!

I have been hard at work to wrap up a few fall pictures and with this layout I have finally done it.  I have finished fall of 2010.  Wow did I take a bunch of pictures and do I have a bunch of layouts but hey it sure is fun scrappin' them all!

O.K. I have to say that I am not a lover of this paper.  For some crazy reason I got sucked into the sale and I wanted something different because all my fall pages use Imaginisce Apple Cider. So I found a sale online and it was a really awesome sale and I bought this We R Memory Keepers line.  Sorry I don't even know the name.  I do like how it turned out.  It was just weird for me to do this impulsive buy on paper that really isn't me.  When I first started in scrapping I bought everything and then sold it in my lss garage sale.  Over time I realized what I liked and what I didn't.  When I buy a collection pack I usually end up using every piece or maybe just have one piece left over.  Oh well what can I say---

This is my cutie Michael.  He had so much fun playing in the leaves. He ran and got the dust pan and just had a blast!

I hope you have a great day and I will be back tomorrow with a new layout.  See ya then!

Wednesday Card-Berry Sweet!

Happy Wednesday,

I can't believe my Spring break is almost over and I have really nothing to show for it.  I worked all day yesterday on getting my class ready for next month.  I have all the sketches done, displays done, notes done, and kit contents list done.  The only thing I need to do is take pictures of them for the blog (the weather had been so dark and gloomy with rain.  No good light) and then make the kits.  So I guess I did get something done.  It is just that I want to get some of my stuff done.  I know I will I just have to relax and it will happen.

You know how I love to enter the Imaginisce Monthly Challenges well this one was sooo much fun.

The rules: Create at least one paper pieced element  on your project and use at least 75% Imaginisce products and post a link to your project before April 25, 2011

Ok I am usually not a paper piecer at all but I had this paper and I have been dying to use it!!! so I devolped this card.

1.  The base is 5x5
2. I cut the postage stamp to 4.8x4.8
3.  I cut my strawberry card and pieced it together and attached to the base of the card.
4.  I cut out 8 extra strawberries.
5.  I attached  4 of them on the outside base with pop dots.
6.  On the inside of the strawberry I stamped "You are so berry sweet"
7.  I adhered with pop dots the extra strawberries.

I have to say I LOVE how this turned out.  It just SCREAMS summer.  I can't wait to give it someone.  Not sure who yet but I can't wait.

Tuesday - mini album

Happy Tuesday,

Well at my class on Saturday each kit included a 3 sketches and the paper, embellishments and alphabets to make the pages.  One of the great people who signed up for the class was Nicole.  She had a great take on the one page layout.  Here is  my layout and then Nicole's.

Nicole changed up some of the paper and used a different piece that she found in the store.  How fun it that.  Thanks Nicole for sending me your work! Love it!

As I mentioned yesterday last week I was working on some displays for the store.  This is the little mini album which is the companion piece to yesterday's photo cubes.  This little album was just made with cardstock and the echo park little boy line. I just love it.  I think I may have to make one for my Mother in Law.  It is just 4x4 so she could carry it in her purse.

On the left side I added a photo and then on the right I had added a bit of journaling.  Really Really cute.

Anything exciting going on today?  I am working on my goals.  So far I haven't accomplished anything.  I started a good book and have been reading, and I made some more sketches.  Got to focus and get busy.

Hope everyone has a great day and I will be back tomorrow with Wednesday's card.  Thanks for stopping by and I will see you then!

Monday Monday--Cube

Happy Monday!

Well how was every one's weekend.Ours was pretty good!  It just flew by.  I really wish the weekends could go a bit slower.  Saturday was so busy with running errands, haircuts for the boys, swim lessons, Easter egg hunt (in the freezing cold, wind, and rain--YUCK!), and a party.  Then on Sunday I taught my first scrapbooking class.  I had a blast. Everyone in the class was so much fun.  I loved to see how people in the class took the idea of the sketch and make it their own.  I am going to try to post a couple of their projects on my blog this week.

This past week I was really busy making things for the store.  Vicky gave me a kit to make a couple of different projects.  I first made this 3D stackable cube.  I thought it came out so incredibly cute.  It used the Little Boy paper collection from Echo Park.  I knew I couldn't go wrong with their paper.  I took a couple of pictures of the different sides.

I have a couple of goals for myself this week.  The first one is to finish up my sketches and may class displays.  The second one is to scrap for myself .  For the last 2 weeks I have been making my displays and 'for Sunday's class, national scrapbook day and then for May's class.  DON'T get me wrong--I loved every minute of it but I want to scrap just for me.  I have made sketches for the layouts, and made kits.  All I have to do is sit down and start!  My third is to finish Christmas -- O.K. I know I have been saying this for about 3 weeks now but I really want to do it.  I have one layout left.  I know I can do it--plus I am sure you all are tired of me saying it-heheheheheh

I hope everyone has a fantastic day and I will be back tomorrow with an itty bitty mini album--yup you heard it right me making a mini album.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I will see you all tomorrow!

Happy Friday!

Well we made it through another week.  TGIF!!! I am so excited.  I have a busy day at work wrapping things up.  I don't want to take home any work.  Then after school I am running to my lss to pick up the rest of my materials for my class.  I have to finish kitting tonight.  I am also going to pick up my materials for my May class.  I have to say I am so excited over my may sketches and paper choices.  Tonight I am going to try to make the demos as well.  I also have to pick up the materials for my sketch layout for National Scrapbook Day.  I did a cute layout using the new Bo Bunny line AD Lib.  I will post more information on it as we get closer to May 7th. So I have a busy day, but all of it is fun.

What is everyone doing this weekend? Saturday is kind of shaky for us.  We are supposed to have a huge Easter Egg Hunt at our local YMCA, but the weather is calling for cold 50 degrees and rain.  I do not want to stand outside and look for eggs in that mess.  Might have to hold one at our house just with the boys.  I can go to the dollar store and buy some eggs and and put some candy in them.  Then friends of ours are having a big party to celebrate the finalization of their adoption.  It should be a great big party.  We are really excited! And then on Sunday my mom is coming over for lunch and I have my class.  So excited!

As I mentioned last week Becky was a bad influence on me and I purchased a HUGE order from Paper Trey Ink.  Here are a couple of pictures of my order--sorry they came out so bad but my scraproom is in the basement and there isn't much light down there.

My first part of my order were there specialty dies.  I love their dies.  I already have 2 of them but as you can see I NEEDED more (hehehehe) The reason I like them so much is that they have coordinating stamps to it.  I have one of their other sets and I use them ALL the time.  I should have a blast using these.  The reason I ordered all of these is because they will make perfect and fun journaling spots.  I hate buying them and now I can make my own.

Here are the stamps.  Again most of them have the coordinating dies.  I also got a mix of buttons and some baker's twine.

The first thing I did was put all the stamps in the CD cases.  So I have them all set to use.  I can't wait.

Here is another sketch that I will be making this Sunday at Simply Scrapbooks.  I can't wait to put the photos in them and get them already for the class.

I also got the exciting news that my layout Got Books? was chosen to be published on the Basic Grey web site gallery.  This is a huge honor.  I have tried several time and have been turned down so I am excited about my first!!!! HERE is the link to the gallery. If you have not seen the amazing work here please go check it out.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back on Monday with a new project.  Have a great weekend and see ya then!

gingerbread house

Oh Yeah it is Thursday!

So last weekend I started having these dizzy spells.  They would be brief and last just a couple of seconds.  Well it was happening this week on and off and finally I was just lightheaded all day long.  I went to the doctor and I am having a spell of Vertigo.  It is really crazy.  I am on some medicine and boy oh boy is it helping.  I am feeling so much better. I don't know if anyone has experienced vertigo but it is the strangest feeling.  Hopefully my inner ear will return to normal in a couple of days.

Well I have been working all week on my upcoming class this Sunday.  I have made all the kits up. One of the papers is coming in tomorrow so all I have to do is add it to my class.  I know some people don't like the kit making part but since this is my first time I think it is really fun.  I am a bit nervous.  I know I have been a teacher for 22 years but this will be the first time that I will be teaching adults.  Way different!

Gingerbread House
This was the first year that we attempled to make a gingerbread house.  We had a  bunch of fun.  Thank goodness my mom was there to help.  Jack just had a blast.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day.  It is going to be around 67 degrees this afternoon so I am picking up the kids right away and we will walk to the park! I took tons of pictures the other day at the park.  We had so much fun.  Michael just loves running around.  He is scarred to climb on the equipment but he loves to watch Jack.  Way too cute!  I want to use this day wisely because the forecast is for rain and temps in the 50's for the next couple of days.  I need that sunshine!

I will be back tomorrow with another post and layout! Thanks for stopping by and I will see ya tomorrow!

Wednesday Card Day ! Easter egg cards

Happy Wednesday!

Oh the week is marching on--HOORAY!  For some reason I kind of forgot that I needed to make some Easter cards for my Mom and Mother in law.  I just bought the Echo Park Springtime Collection a couple of weeks ago so I thought I would break it out.  I just didn't want to go into a lot of work for this one.  So I went shopping in the Silhouette store.  They were  having a sale and all the die cuts were 75 cents.  I have had my Silhouette for close to 4 years now and I don't have a bunch of images.  So I found this one of the egg and I loved the simple idea, and I thought I could easily turn this image into a card.

1.first I cut the image out for the egg.  I saved the little flowers to use later.
2. I then went back to my image and removed the flowers and just had the egg shape.  I cut to images of this.
3.  The first was in purple to use as the front base of my card
4. and the second  (white piece) was for the back of my card.
5. I placed my cut out egg on top of the purple piece.  I added some I Rock gems in the center of the flowers.
6.  I stamped the sentiment on the white egg.
7. I scored the white egg an inch on the side.
8.  I attached some flowers on the inside and included some more I Rock gems
9. I glued the scored part and attached it to the purple part of the card.

Very simple and very easy.  I liked how it turned out! Very clean and simple.

Happy Tuesday Santa's Cookies

Hello,

I am so excited that this is my last week of school before Spring break.  Our Spring break is so late this year.  I am in desperate need to have some down time.  Between work, the boys, home, starting my classes, and trying to find sometime for me I am exhausted.  I really need a day for myself! I already have a ton of things scheduled but my goal is to relax next week a bit.

Well as I said yesterday-you don't always have to reinvent the wheel when you are scrapping.  I have  an album for Jack and an album for Michael.  To save time and energy I copied myself.  Here is Michael's layout using the same sketch.  I just used different paper and embellies but the basic concept is the same.  I love when I can do this! It makes it just so easy.

I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back tomorrow with an easy Easter card!  Thanks for stopping by and see ya then!

Happy Monday-Santa's Cookies-Jack

Hello,

Well is everyone sad like me that the weekend is over?  Friday at the crop I really didn't get anything done.  I basically worked on my upcoming class and spoke with the owner about doing a quick kit and class for National Scrapbook Day in May and we picked the paper and embellies to go with May's class.  I have 2 sketches already made.  I just have to make one more.  I did; however, make 6 cards.  I took all my scraps and made up some cards.  They are for Halloween and Christmas -- trying to get ahead of the game.

Saturday is was supposed to be partly sunny and in the low 70's but it never got out of the 50's and rained the entire day.  We were so busy it didn't matter.  Sunday was BEAUTIFUL! I actually broke out the shorts for the boys.  We took a family walk and went to the park.  Oh I love that!

Cookies for Santa

As I have said I have been trying to finish up Christmas.  Here is a layout using the Echo Park paper.  I have to say I love how this turned out!  Tomorrow I am going to show the same layout with Michael just with different paper and embellies.  It looks so different.

My tip for the week:  You don't always have to reinvent the wheel each time you create a new  layout.  Scraplift yourself and just use different paper and embellies.  It makes is so easy on yourself.  I am all about making things easy!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!

Blog reading can really really hurt your wallet.  Yesterday Becky from Fourth House on the Right had an awesome card featured. (click HERE to see the awesome card) I loved the bingo card she made.  I had used a bingo card on Monday's layout (click HERE) and I wanted to make some more.  I hated to pay the high price of them at the scrap store and I liked the idea of making my own.  Well Becky told me that it was a stamp from Paper Trey Ink.  Well, if you have follwed my blog for very long you know that I love Paper Trey Ink.  I try to stay away from them because they have so many fun stamps.   Well I went on their website and boy oh boy did I shop.  I am really in trouble--I totally went over my budget this month.  BAD BECKY BAD BECKY for putting such a cute card on your blog.  Becky, you deserve to get a free stamp or something from them for the the order I placed. hehehhehe--I will have to share pictures of my haul when it arrives. And as I am writing this I keep hitting myself because I wanted to much more--my list is always sooo long from them.

What is everyone doing this weekend?  Any big plans?  We are so jammed pack I hope I can take time to breathe.  Tonight I am going to go for my crop.  I know I am not going to stay till midnight tonight.  I would like to be home early so that I can get some sleep.  I do need to work though.  I have not scrapped all week and I won't be able to all weekend. (Isn't it funny how this hobby is more of an obsession-hehehehehe)  Saturday I have errands and then Jack has swimming lessons, a dentist apt., my mother in law is coming for lunch and then she is going to watch michael while hubby, Jack  and I go down to Cincinnati for a birthday party( jack is invited).  Then on Sunday my mom is coming over.  The weather is supposed to by warm (60-70) but a chance of rain, but if I can get a walk in both days I will be in heaven.

I had some great news this week. I had another layout picked up by Scrap Street EMagazine. I was so excited. So my layout that was scheduled for today has been removed till June.

Also my Bee Happy card was featured on the Practical Scrappers  blog. Wow I am so honored! Thanks so much!

I had some other fun news this month- at my local scrap store, Simply Scrapbooks, I am going to be teaching a sketch class.  In the class we will be making 2-2page layouts and 1-1 page layout for $20 dollars.  The students will get the sketches, cardstock, paper, alphabet stickers and embellishments, and I will show them how to put it all together.  I am really excited about the class.  We are hoping to make it a monthly class. The class date is April 17th from 1:30 - 3:30.  Here is a look at one of the layouts that we will make in class.

This months kit used the Chloe by 3 Bugs in a Rug.  Can I tell you how excited I am to scrap some girl layouts.  I am going to put a picture of my god daughter in the place.

Well I hope everyone has a fantastic day and weekend.  I will be back on Monday with a new layout.  See ya then and thanks for stopping by!

Thursday-Autumn Afternoon

Good Morning!

It's Thursday! Just one more day till the weekend--HOORAY!  Well today I wanted to get in another layout that I made at my crop 2 weeks ago.  I just love these pictures of Jack playing in the leaves.

Autumn Afternoon

This layout was fun to make.  I loved using up my last little bit of my basic grey paper.  I also loved using the Silhouette to create the trees and the title.  I really like the font I used for that.  It was a font that was on the Silhouette site.  Very fun!

This is just a quick post today.  I have a busy day at work and tonight I have to pack all my kits up for my monthly crop.  I have been very bad and I haven't been in my scrap room all week.  The weather has been nice and the boys and I have outside or doing other things.  So I need to pick some pictures and print them off and then make some kits up.  I think I am going to finally finish Christmas and then start some of my winter pages.

Have a great day and I will see you all tomorrow!

Wednesday Card-April Challenge at Scrap Our Stash

Happy Wednesday everyone,
Hope you are having a good day. I am excited for today because they are calling for temperatures in the 60's and sunny. Oh I can't wait. I think after school I will walk with the boys to the park.  I can't wait!

Over at Scrap Our Stash they are having their monthly challenge.  This months challenge is to Bring in the Sun.  Well I was stumped at how I was going to incorporate a sun into a project.  I thought about it all day and came up with NOTHING!  So I went to bed and I had the best dream.  I came up with the entire card in my dream.  I love it when that happens.  As soon as I woke up I got my sketch pad out and sketched the layout so I wouldn't forget.    Here is what I came up with:

Bee Happy

I loved making this card because I got to include all my favorite things:die cuts, inking, stamping, coloring.  What could be better?

First I used my scraps and traced and cut out my hills.  Next I went to town using my Silhouette. I made the postage stamp base, the sun and the cloud.  I then stamped my bee and made a little mask for it.  I also made a mask for the edges of the postage stamp.  I wanted those to remain white.  I then used my Tim Holtz distress ink and my blending tool and inked up the sky.  I then inked the edges of my cloud.  I colored in my cute little bee with my copics and then stamped the sentiment.  To give the hills a bit of dimension I added some faux stitching to them, and then pieced it all together.  I had a ton of fun creating this card.  I am not sure who I am going to send this to, but I hope it will brighten someones day.

If you want more information on the Scrap Our Stash challenge please click HERE.  If you haven't stopped by, you really should!  There are really fun challenges and just a nice group of people.  What are you waiting for --Give it a Try!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back tomorrow with a new layout!

Tuesday-Game Time

Hello,

How is your week so far? So far so good here. Nothing exciting which is a good thing. I couldn't handle another week like last week with back bumping his teeth, dentist appointments, and running around.  So I would like to have a nice quiet week. (fingers crossed)

I was so excited because one of my cards from my Jillibean Soup card week was featured on their blog. Click HERE to see. I was so excited! What an honor!  They have one of the best design teams ever. They always inspire me.

Two weeks ago at my crop and this past weekend I was able to get caught up on my scrapping.  I scrap out of order and sometimes some pictures get left out or forgotten.  I still had pictures from the fall that needed to get done.  So I worked really hard and I finally finished the fall.  Now I need to focus on finishing Christmas.  I need to then get working on the winter.  Here it is spring and I haven't even started the winter and all my snow pictures.  I have been chomping at the bit to use my Echo Park Wintertime paper.  So much to do and so little time. hehehehehe

I have to say that this turned out to be one of my favorite layouts.  I just loved the pictures and the sketch I used was perfect for it.  It was really fun.

Game Time

For the journaling block on this layout I used my memo stamp from Hero Arts and cut it down to the size needed and then punched the border so that the block looks like a page torn out of a football play book. I really liked how that turned out.  For the title I used my Silhouette to create the welded title (I really love the look).

Happy Monday-Got books?

Good Morning!

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good! I got some crafting done and hubby and I were able to get a sitter at the last minute and have a date night. We had a wonderful evening.  We looked at our schedule and we are totally booked till the end of April.  As I have said before date night is so important!  Poor Michael though hates it when we leave.  The boys sitter is my cousin so the boys know her very well, but Michael just keeps saying to her "I want mommy and daddy back".  Poor little thing!

Got Books?
Everyone in my family loves to read, and when Jack was little I started reading to him and he just loves books.  At his school the librarian comes every week to read a book and she said that you needed to be 5 to get your first library card.  Well Jack came home after school and he was so excited because he just turned 5.  So we went and Jack got his first card.  Oh, he was way too happy.  You know me.  I carry my camera with me everywhere so I took these pictures.  I just love them and I created this layout with them.

My Core'dinations Creative Frenzy

I was so excited when I saw on the Core'dinations blog that they were having try outs for the new Design Team.  I love Core'dinations cardstock because they have so many wonderful colors and  because there are so many things that you can do with it-sand it, emboss it, score it, tear it, and the  list goes on and one.  Core'dinations also teams up with other amazing companies to bring the best selection of cardstock. I just love it! So when I saw they  were looking for a new Team  I knew I had to try.  So I went to work and here is what I came up with using their amazing cardstock.

My Boy
I used so many different techniques on this layout.
1. I scored the base of the layout and then sanded it.
2. I wrinkled the brown cardstock and then sanded it to give it the distressed look
3. I embossed the red layer and then sanded it
4. I sanded the preembossed light blue sheet and finally
5. I tore the second layer of red

The look has so many differnt textures.  I just love it.

Enjoy Every Moment

For this layout I used the Jillibean Soup Core'dinations paper and did the following techniques:
1. Sanded the main layer of cardstock.  I really love to mix up the sanding and sand really lightly in some areas and then really heavy in others to give it that uneven distressed look.
2.  For the orange cardstock I used the reverse side so that the design was deembossed.
3. I then used the front side of the above cardstock and cut 2 strips and then punched it with my border punch. I then rubbed the Tim Holtz ink with my blending took to pick up the embossed layer. Love this look!
5.  I then used my Silhouette to create the title using the cardstock.

You can really do everything you need to make wonderful pages with the cardstock!

Pure Happiness

This layout once again I wanted to use  several differnt techniques.
1. I scored the base and lightly sanded it.  I love this! It makes such a nice frame for the inside piece.
2. I embossed and sanded the blue and green pieces.

supplies: core'dinations cardstock, october afternoon paper and stickers, cuttlebug

Happy Birthday

For this card I used once again the Core'dinations cardstock as my base and then added another layer and sanded the pre embossed paper.  I then added some of the coordinating Jillibean paper.

I just love the texture that you can create using this amazing cardstock!

supplies: core'dinations cardstock, jillibean soup paper and tag, paper trey ink buttons

I want to thank Core'dinations for considering my work.  It would be  both a dream and an honor to work for such an amazing company.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Happy Friday-Bag Topper

Hello and Happy Friday!

First let me say, I want to thank all of you for coming by each day and looking at my work and taking the time to write such kind comments, but I feel that right now I need to take a break from scrapping and spend less time on the computer and more time with my family.  I am going to be selling a lot of my supplies----

Wait-----April Fool's--hehehehhehehhe

me--quit scrapping--quit blogging--selling my supplies----no way-- April Fool's Day Everyone!

I am so glad it is the weekend.  What is everyone doing this weekend?  So far we don't have any plans.  I just want to relax.  I wish the weather was going to be nice.  I would love to plant some pansies in the front of the house but still way too chilly for that.  I just need spring and some regular sunshine.

Jack's tooth is hanging in there.  The one tightened up a bit but the other one is still wiggly.  I wish it would just come out so that he can eat and everything as normal.  He loves telling everyone about his big accident on the playground.  He is too much.

You know me--I am not normally a paper project kind of girl.  I love to make cards and scrapbook but I am not really into projects; however, I say this and I knew I needed to  make these.  My friend's son is having a little party and I volunteered to help make the little gift bags for the couple of kids that were coming to the party.  I used the jillibean soup spotted owl to make these along with my Silhouette.  I think they just turned out so cute.  I just put bubble gum in them when I took the picture.  She will be able to put in her little goodies once I drop them off at her house.

I tell you I am still on my card making kick.  I am loving that I can get a quick one in while the kids are playing.  I guess I just needed a bit of a change.  For the first time I know have a surplus of cards.  I am going to give my mom a nice little pack of them for helping us out this week.  She loves to send little cards to her girlfriends that have become snow birds in Florida.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day.  I will be back on Monday with a new layout.  (It seems like forever since I have had a layout on.)  Hope everyone has a great weekend! Try to rest and relax and of course scrap!  See ya then and thanks for stopping by!
